  How to use smartphone to export all iPhone contacts with iCloud?

  Do I need 3rd party App or Computer to export iPhone contacts as VCFs
  My iPad Mini 6 showed download option but unlike 3rd party App, there is no VCF file in any folder I can find.

  Instead of “Save To File option”, after I have done 4900 Contacts Selected and selected Share, insert of “Save To File option”, I am asked if
  ① This website is trying to download a contact card. Do you want to allow this?
  ② first contact opened with no other option than Create New Contact, Add to Existing Contact, Update Contact “first person”.

    You can export all your iPhone contacts with iCloud using two methods: on your iPhone or on a computer. Here’s how:

    On your iPhone:

    Go to Settings > your name > iCloud.
    Make sure the Contacts toggle is on. This ensures your contacts are synced with iCloud.
    Open the Contacts app.
    Tap Select All in the top left corner.
    Tap Share in the top right corner.
    Choose Print or Save to Files.
    If you choose Print, you can connect your iPhone to a printer and print your contacts list.
    If you choose Save to Files, you can save your contacts as a vCard file (.vcf) to iCloud Drive or another location.
    On a computer:

    Go to https://www.icloud.com/ in your web browser.
    Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
    Click on Contacts.
    Select the contacts you want to export (or click Select All to export all contacts).

      Thanks but is it possible to export all contacts to VCF?
      I am hoping, without Computer, to export all contacts for Google import via mobile Safari.

        A .vcf file is a virtual business card for one contact. So if you export all your 4900 contacts to a digital business card you have 4900 separate files to import in your e-mail program (or whatever program or app or website) that can import them). Is that really the best way to do what you want to do?

        I doubt it. But since it’s not clear at all what you really want to do, I can’t say.

        Deleting 60 files is easier than deleting 60 contacts with Contacts App

        I believe deleting multiple VCFs would be easier than deleting multiple contacts. Please correct me if wrong, I can save a copy somewhere else for one of 60 duplicates for each contact and delete the remaining.

        I did have a second look, and learned that a vcf-file can contain more than one contact, for example all contact persons you have in a company, or all members of a club, or maybe all 4900 contacts from your contacts file in iCloud, if you make it based on a “select all”.

        Having one text file with 20.000+ lines (multiple lines per contact) doesn’t really help you, I think. But try and have a look.

        It’s confusing, by the way, that in your first post above you talk about “iPhone contacts” and an “Ipad” (device), while it seems that the helpful procedure posted by jon51054700 exports contacts as stored in iCloud.

        I use latest iPad instead of 5 year old iPhone to export hoping better success due to later processing technology. Contacts in iPhone cannot sync to iPad and Apple technicians blaming VPN. I switched to most expensive VPN and see if Apple technicians is right.

        You keep introducing new elements into the discussion. That doesn’t really help to make it clear.

        However, I don’t think the price of the VPN makes a difference. Did the Apple tech say so?
        Better try without VPN, although I can imagine that won’t help to fix the mess you made.

        Apple technicians advised choosing different VPN and server locations.
        I can’t access my broadband during daytime.

        My current VPN has highest speed and number of server locations.

        I am following Apple technicians advice.

    That might mean that that there are more contacts in iCloud (4900) than on your device (less than 4900) and, before making the vCards, the app wants to sync contacts from iCloud to your device. That’s a download indeed.
    What happens if you say no, when asked if you want to allow it?

    It seems you somehow made a mess of your contacts, although it’s still unclear how. Anyway, if Apple fails you, consider ditching you iPhone/iPad and switch to Android.

      I have subscribed Apps and they are not in Google Play Store.

      I used Apple for better security because banks had been giving me problems with Android.

      How much technology should an average person need nowadays? Do I need a computer also?

        Just to share, I found that when I worked for a debit card processing center for credit unions that the Apple internet browser (Safari) was more incompatible/unfriendly than with Android or MS WIndows devices when it came to bank/credit union online systems. YMMV

    Ensure iCloud Contacts Sync is Enabled:
    On your iPhone, go to Settings.
    Tap on your Apple ID (your name at the top).
    Select iCloud.

    Access iCloud on a Web Browser:
    On a computer or a smartphone with internet access, open a web browser.
    Visit the iCloud website: http://www.icloud.com.
